Hacienda Barú Lodge is located 2.5 kilometers from Dominical, in the Hacienda Barú National Wildlife Refuge. Staying at Hacienda Baru will allow you to experience up close the wildlife characteristic of a National Wildlife Refuge as well as to get to know all the different natural habitats within the Refuge.
- How to get there: By car drive to Quepos and once you arrive at the hospital the entrance to Hacienda Baru is 32.5 kilometers straight down the road. The road is paved and new. When you see a bridge with a sign that says “Río Hatillo Viejo,” it is 2.2 kilometers to the entrance to Hacienda Barú. Look for our fence on the right. Turn right and drive 100 meters to the reception. If you see a gas station on the right you have missed the entrance to Hacienda Baru and have to go back approximately 100 meters.
- Room types: Cabins and Superior Rooms
- Description of the Cabins and Superior Rooms: The Cabins have two rooms, one with a double bed and the other with a double and a single bed, the cabin is fully equipped with a small kitchenette with refrigerator, a double heating pad heater and a small sink; it has a living room, bathroom with hot water, fans, safe and private parking. The Superior rooms have a King and a single bed, a large bathroom with hot water and safety box, they are also facing the pool.
